Welcome. I guess this makes you Canada too. Up till 2 years ago I had a 1980 CB750. It was a great bike. Happy wrenching.

alright guys well heres the update on my build shes in pieces. I took her apart and getting ready to do some of the frame mods, i got her in my basement of my house so shes safe and sound and as for the motor i got it stored in my little shed outside. i'll post some pics up. the one thing im worried about now is the electrical seems it might be a big pain in the ass :o . Im hoping to get this build done in a few months but im not sure, money seems to be the biggest issue i have at the moment lol im going to use my old friend the visa to get all the crap i need done to it.

Naw the electrical ain't too bad. You can't get away with as bare a set up as the sohc 750's. That said it really depends if you do a full rewire or stick with the stock harness. The stock wiring has a lot of wire and a lot of conections that go back and forth. Given the inspections and safety crap you guys got up there it seems to me, I would run with the stock harness so if I needed to put back turn lights and horn the wires are there. On my bike right now I got rear turns and the conections to put the front back if needed. I wired a mini switch under the fuse block on the tree top to turn on and off my head light. The harness doesn't look too bad. I don't know any way to get around needing the full charging system, battery, and starter so you might as well use the stock wiring..I know it limits you on headlight choice since there is all that wire in the housing. But hey that's just the way it goes. Good luck.
