Your place is starting to look like mine gr8. Did it run out OK?

That a fact ? You mean the collection of bikes or the organized clutter ? I ain't no hoarder, though I do keep a lot of stuff a lot longer than needed.
The bike ran great. There is quite a bit of difference in it and the 750. I would guess there should be,just cause of displacement. But I can't help but wonder how much the air box plays in to the picture. I have always felt that the 750 ran well. It has power all through the rpm. And it gets up and goes on the freeway. But this bike seemed to have a lot more get up and go. I didn't get on it since I have no reason to provoke a ticket . I will spend the next free days putting the plastic back and cleaning the tank out. Then sync the carbs and off to DMV for tags. Call the agent to add her to my ever growing insurance policy.

I mean the collection of bikes and the clutter. Good stuff.

I'm on vacation for the next 12 days so I will be starting on my cb900. I'll try to get some pics up for ya.

Does yours have the two speed trany? How does that work? Is it just one more gear at the end?

No two speed on mine. I am not sure that much about the two speed. Other than one is lower range than other. I don't think riders "split" gears for ten forward. They either stay in low or hi range. Or use the lower range for speed/power and then at 5th go in to the high range like a 6th or OD.

Time for an update.I had the bike together and running. got tags and insurance. Then ....yep, shit went down hill.
Took her on about a 50 mile test and all was good. As I was getting back home she died and wouldn't crank. Battery was dead. Turns out the rotor is burnt out. This is a known issue with these bikes. Fix the charging system, take her out again, and now she just stops on the freeway 180 bucks from home. The fuel is air locking but for the life of me I don't know how the air is getting in the line. Bleed the line and all is good. I drained a bowl and that allowed enough fuel to flow and push out the air. I also had an inline filter installed. There is a lot of stuff I find on the net about bad luck with in line filters and fuel flow. This is a first for me. I'm going to re plumb the fuel system. New petcock with filter screen, new fuel line to carbs. pretty sure this will correct the air lock issues.
