Update Oakland.
As I was charging up the battery I noticed the main fuse was very corroded. Same with the spare. They both fell apart in my hand. Ordered two new fuse an oil filter and in line fuel filter. Went back to work on putting the carbs and air box back on. What a pain in the ass. There is no easy way except to take the battery box out too. I didn't remove the box and can say,yes you can put the air box in with out removing the battery box. I am trying to go for the stock street fighter/cafe (maybe) look with this one. Plus the fact that the bike is about 100% intact, I really don't want to hack it up.While I wait for the fuse and filters I went about cleaning and flushing front brakes and replaced the broken turn signals. Got some stock lens in red for the rear. I'm ready to give it the fire test now. Got the fuel bottle hanging and ready to fill. Put the new main fuse in and got all my lights and starter so as soon as I put the new plugs in it will be time to fire her up. A few days maybe since I have a ride this weekend. It's cooler and we are getting some rain but looking like it will be good riding this weekend. Sorry about that east coast weather. Bahhh, move west .

It's still rainy/snowy here in Kansas, but speeking of air boxes. Do you have a spare you want to sell gr8? I need one for my 1980 750. I know I can buy one on ebay, but I would rather throw my money your way if i can.

I have one I will let you have for the same price I have in it. ($0.00)+ shipping. I got it from bikerdave65 to use on mine but decided not to use it. I will get in touch with him today and ask him if he minds if I let you have it to use on yours.

You're a peach Houston. Do you have the boots that go from the box to the carbs?

Peach ? Hell, he is a regular prince of a guy. A Mans Man..
If Houston doesn't have the boots I do. I'm missing one clamp though. What about that puke can that sits under the battery box ? Do you need that or just plan to run the air box drain out on the ground ?

Holy crap guys! Thanks a ton. By the way gr8, the bike is coming along. I hope it fires and runs good for you. I didn't mean to hi-jack your thread by the way. ;)

I will p.m. you two with some info. Just let me know what I owe and your flavor of choice so I can return the favor.

P.S. no puke box gr8.
