new insides

took about 4 hours to gut the old one, clean it
and knock out a new liner. it was so easy i did
two just to keep busy. the liner is that asian
hooker dress stuff. its what i had laying around,
wife found it and had to do some thing with it.
"oh thanks honey i was looking for that, its the new
liner to my helmet. i must have kicked under the bed."

I got a couple questions on it. Is that a Biltwell novelty helmet? I was looking to buy one but I'm an XXL and Bill from biltwell said it might be a bit snug. So my next question is, What is the foam like inside? Could I shave a lil out of it? I hate the DOT P.O.S. helmet I have now and I NEED a cool one.

get a old 3/4 helmet and use one inch high density foam and it will fit your huge
squash just fine. i have a big melon and the one inch foam is loose, i wanted to
be able to wear a hat under the helmet.

Well that just proves it! I NEVER pay attention.... You could have tossed in a "dumbass" or "shit for brains" But thanks for the info either way.
I bought 2 reeeaaaallllyyy old 3/4 helmets for my sons, the mega flake ones (green and blue), super cool. Got'em at Goodwill for like 3 bucks each. Does that lil fact redeem my stupidity?

super good score. hit a fabric store and line them lids up.
you'll be surprised at how easy it is.

Any tips for doing this? Im looking at a NOS 70's Buco with bad foam.

Edit: picked it up today. Its dated with the original box from 1977.
