MY KZ clean up.

Postby BeeDub on 22 May 2010, 15:25

I'm finally getting around to putting up some pics for you guys. I took my 1975 KZ400 and slapped the old off of it. I took the motor out of the frame and blasted it, then re-cleared it. Fresh paint on the frame and tank as well. I found a grinding stone in the intake that my son had hidden from me about six month ago. The bike had about 50 miles on it with the stone in the motor. It never ran quite right, but it runs great now. HUM? It's for sale now. Time to do another. I sold the rusty cock about a month ago, so time to start all over. Tell me what you think.

P.S. I won't say any names, but someone give me shit about building nicer bikes since i built a lift table, so here you go.

The intake valve was fine. Weird?

That looks great, do you really get your time back monetarily? I guess I shouldn't ask but I am curious.

I look at it like this, it's a hobby that pays. I made enough to buy the next bike, plus parts for it. Beer money, gun money, plus a little more. So yes, I do ok. And I don't mind you asking. I had about 35 to 40 hours in it and cleared $500 after purchase price and parts. It's a hobby at the end of the day, thats all. I tell my wife it's better than sitting at the bar pissing money away. And she agrees.
